Author Sherry Boas

Sherry Boas holds a B.S. in journalism from Arizona State University and wrote for a daily newspaper for ten years. But it was her vocation as a mother that would best prepare her for an author’s career. For her, truth resounds in the struggles and triumphs of every-day family life. And fiction, although made up, must still be true.

Boas has a passion for truth and is picky about little else. Except, of course, how her coffee is grown, harvested, roasted, ground, stored and brewed. She places such a high value on friendship, however, that she will drink even a bad cup of coffee with a good friend.

Boas is author of the highly-acclaimed series of novels whose characters’ lives are unpredictably transformed by a woman with Down syndrome. Until Lily, Wherever Lily Goes and Life Entwined with Lily's, released in 2011 as a trilogy, gained immediate favor with readers and critics alike. Boas embarked on a different kind of journey with her next novel, Wing Tip, a unique tale of relentless love, celebrating the unfathomable mercy of God. Released in 2012, the novel recounts the tale of a priest whose mother's deathbed confession reveals a family secret and the peril of a lost soul. Boas decided to re-enter Lily’s world, releasing The Things Lily Knew, in spring 2013. She is also author of A Mother’s Bouquet: Rosary Meditations for Moms.
